A Very Wise Teacher
Today, as we were getting ready for bath and dinner, Silvie said to her dad, "Dad, did you know that there are no frogs on the planet as the planet gets warmer?" We asked what she meant. She said, "my teacher says that the frogs will have to go away as the planet gets warmer and warmer." Aaron said, "do you mean that your teacher talked about global warming?" She wasn't sure. All she knows is that a person from the local zoo came to her pre-school with a turtle and a frog. Then, her teacher talked about how, as the planet warms, the frogs will disappear, or "go away." When we asked her, "what should we do about it?" she was a bit stumped. But it's a great starting point for a discussion, and we are so very pleased that she has a teacher willing to talk about difficult problems like global warming to 4 and 5 year-olds.

Aren't frog cold blooded? If yes, won't they be able to adapt to the change in temperature?
