It's hard to explain how much Purim is celebrated in Israel, but the whole city stops and has a really big party. Plus, since the children are out of school for a few days as well, there are a lot of school-aged Purim parties and synagogue Purim parties for kids. In Jerusalem, since it is a walled city, Purim is celebrated the day after everyone else celebrates it, which mostly means two days of kid-related Purim parties. Silvie was so excited that she refused to tell anyone what she was going to be for Purim!
And what do Purim parties mean to our girls? More chances to wear costumes and have fun!
Here they are:

Silvie dressed up for her school's Purim party: A blue princess

Mim dressed up for her school's Purim party: A pink princess
Silvie and Mim dressed up for the megillah reading: The Butterfly Queen and the Tiger

Silvie and Mim dressed up for the synagogue's Purim party: Butterfly Queen and Chinese princess

At the synagoge's Purim party - with fun balloon hat!
