Mishloach Manot (gift giving at Purim)

There is a wonderful tradition in Israel of giving a small gift (usually baked goods or food) to your friends at Purim. Our synagogue facilitates this for members where we pay for the "mishloach manot" or gift to be sent to fellow members of the synagogue, all proceeds going to charity. We will also drop off some home-made treats to friends in the area as well.

Last night, Miriam's three teachers dropped by with a Michloach Manot for her. It was a delightful, wonderful treat. I cannot beleive that the visited all 20 kids in Mim's pre-school with the same amazing energy and song that they brought to our house. Mim was a bit shy from all the attention, but we managed to snap a few pics.
