In the past week, Miriam has really started imitating us and referring to objects by at least one syllable of the name of the object. "Mr. Rabbit," her stuffed animal, is "ro" and "stroller" is "roller." She also points at objects and says very clearly "tat" meaning "that" when she wants something. Which leads me to the subject of this post, "mayyim." Notice that this word sounds a lot like "mine," right? Last week she would point to her water and we thought she was saying "mine." But it turns out, that everytime she wants water, she looks around and then at us and says "mayyim!" That is the Hebrew word for water.
Learning to speak in two languages. I hope I can keep up!
Here is Mim with her "mayyim."

Isaac has been doing the same thing - we call him the "echo" now :)
